“W" Radiant Tube Assemblies spacer “W" Radiant Tube Assemblies
Duraloy produces a variety of radiant tube assemblies, like the "W"-Style assemblies shown here. Duraloy can produce "turn-key" fabrications, assemblies that are fully fabricated, including installation of the bung plates, bellows and ceramic fiber blankets. The bungs and ceramic blankets are wrapped in plastic to protect them during shipment and storage.

Small Diameter Furnace Rolls   Small Diameter Furnace Rolls
These small diameter (approx. 4" OD {102mm}) rolls are used in furnaces where the materials being transported have very little strength at temperature, like glass, aluminum, etc. The small diameter allows the rolls to be placed close together to provide much more support for the sheets or strips as they move through the furnace.

Heat Treat Furnace Door   Heat Treat Furnace Door
These furnace dampers are used to either control the temperature and air flow within a high temperature furnace or are used to open and close the end of a furnace to allow product to move in and out. The ends of the shaft portion are machined to allow them to be installed in bearing housings and an actuator is attached to the back, with pins, to cause the damper to move. These doors are cast in HK-40 alloy.

Heat Treat Basket Bottom   Heat Treat Basket Bottom
These grid bottoms are cast then welded into the bottom of a cylindrical basket used for heat treating specialty components. The baskets are loaded with parts then placed in a hot furnace. After thermal treatment, the baskets are lifted out of the furnace and set into a quench tank, usually containing either water or oil. The grid configuration allows both the heat and quench media to completely surround the parts, giving a homogenous thermal treatment to the parts. These grids are cast in ASTM A297 Grade HU alloy.

Hanger Brackets   Hanger Brackets
These hanger brackets, cast in HK-40 alloy, are bolted into the inside of a high temperature furnace. They are then used to secure other structural members inside the furnace, such as tube sheets and supports.

Centrifugal Tubes   Centrifugal Tubes
Not all tubes are shipped from Duraloy in full mold lengths. These tubes have been cut to exact drawing lengths per customer order specifications. These tubes are to be placed in the bottom of a car bottom furnace for use as piers in a commercial heat treating operation.

Radiant Tube Return Bends With Lugs   Radiant Tube Return Bends With Lugs
These return bends are statically cast, beveled then sent to our fabrication department to have the statically cast lugs or "support foot" welded on. After the lugs are installed, the returns are sent to the fabrication bay to be assembled and welded into radiant tube assemblies. These returns can be cast in any alloy, but are typically done in Duraloy's proprietary alloy MO-RE-1®, Super 22H®, or HK-40 alloy as required.

Heat Treat Furnace Grate   Heat Treat Furnace Grate
Grates like this one are used in commercial heat treating furnaces. The open slots allow heat to flow evenly throughout the furnace and, as in this case, have a cast on bracket to allow for easy removal when hot.

Heat Treat Feed Screws   Heat Treat Feed Screws
These "screws" or augers are typically placed inside a larger tube or muffle and are driven from one end using a motor. The turning action then moves the parts being heat treated through the muffle at a very controlled rate. The screws can also be placed at the bottom of a bin or hopper and be used to control the flow of small pieces out of the hopper. These static castings can be cast in just about any alloy, although HT and Duraloy's proprietary Super 22H® alloy are the most common.

Radiant Tube Assemblies   Radiant Tube Assemblies
These radiant tube assemblies, some with bung plates and some without, are produced for a continuous annealing line, and are shipped ready for installation by the customer. These assemblies are manufactured complete including, when specified by the customer, blanket insulation, bung plates, insulation anchors and expansion bellows. Alloys that are typically used to produce radiant tubes are Duraloy's proprietary alloys 22H®, Super 22H®, or MO-RE-1®, depending on the temperature that the tubes will be exposed to in service.

Heat Treat Basket Bottoms   Heat Treat Basket Bottoms
These statically cast basket bottoms are placed inside of a larger, open-topped basket and are used to support parts while they are in a heat treating furnace. The large, open slots in the bottom allow the heat and furnace atmosphere (carburizing, nitriding, etc.) to circulate freely around the parts. These bottoms can be cast in any alloy, but are often manufactured in Duraloy's proprietary alloys MO-RE-1®, MO-RE-10® or Super 22H®. back to top

Heat Treat Muffle End   Heat Treat Muffle End
This statically cast end is welded onto a heat treat muffle to provide both structural support for the muffle tube and to provide a flange which can then be used to bolt the muffle up to another part of the heat treating assembly. These castings are usually made in a heat resistant alloy like HK, or HK-40.

Heat Treat Furnace Rails   Heat Treat Furnace Rails
These statically cast rails are typically attached to the heat treating furnace floor using bolts. Small, statically cast rollers or wheels are then placed into the spaces along the top side of the rail. Heat treat trays are loaded with parts and are pushed or rolled along the rails into and out of the furnace. These rails can be cast in just about any heat resistant alloy, however, HT, HP, and Duraloy's proprietary alloy Super 22H® are the most common alloys purchased.

Spacer Blocks   Spacer Blocks
These statically cast blocks are used in a fashion similar to tube support sheets. Cast in a variety of heat resistant alloys, spacer blocks are placed between tubes installed in a high temperature furnace to prevent the tubes from coming into contact with each other during use.

Statically Cast Furnace Brackets   Statically Cast Furnace Brackets
The statically cast furnace brackets are cast in Duraloy's proprietary alloy Super 22H® alloy, but they can be cast in any of a wide variety of alloys, including MO-RE 1®, MO-RE 2®, 22H®, HH-2, or HN. These cast components are part of the structural supports operating inside a heat treat furnace.
