Duraloy
HAS CHAPTER INCLUDED IN NEW STEEL PROCESSING BOOK!

Duraloy announced today
that one of their technical papers has been selected for
inclusion in the newly published book "Flat-Rolled Steel
Processes: Advanced Technologies". The book, published by
CRC Press, was assembled and edited by Vladimir B. Ginzburg.
Mr. Ginzburg is "considered one of the major innovators in
the flat-rolling of steel and holds more than two dozen
patents in the industry."
In their description of the book, CRC says "In this volume, Ginzburg brings together other industry
pioneers to define the latest developments in flat-rolled
processes. This includes the revolutionary introduction of
computer-based technology in both new and existing
conventional rolling mills. Each section provides a brief
topic summary and then goes on to describe the latest
advances specific to that area. Main subjects include
advanced hot rolling mills, advanced cold rolling mills,
control systems, and the production of advanced flat-rolled
steel products."
The chapter that Duraloy contributed discusses CSP tunnel furnace rolls and the
natural gas savings and related cost savings available through
the use of dry rolls. The paper was written by Duraloy's R.
James Echlin, Daniel V. Miller and Roman I. Pankiw.
